A funky design attempts to mask a whole bundle of management problems. Excessively long check-in and check-out processes - one desk operating with a queue of 8 people. It's alright to be friendly to your regular guests, but efficiency is more important. The room is very small, as is the bed. The air circulation system replaces aircon, but is useless in any weather above 15 degrees - it gets very hot and opening the window is not an option, because of the noise from the road and the offices across looking into your room. There's no kettle in the room, only a coffee machine in the lobby - which is only available after 12:00 - it's these petty, nonsensical, pointless rules that just irritate guests. There is no iron or ironing board in the room; instead, there's a laundry room on the 2nd floor, with two token-operated washing machines and two dryers (CHF13 for two tokens and detergent) and two irons/boards. There's a small exercise room and a sauna on the ground floor, but the sauna is only available (on request) after 16:00 and there is no drinking water available. Towels have to be taken from the room or gotten from reception. Other than a drink, the stated ALL-status perks were not provided (although I did see another regular guest feted with all kinds of goodies. Inconsistency = poor management). The hotel is about ten minutes walk from the main train station. Unlike virtually every other hotel/guest house in the entire Switzerland, this place does not provide a free transport card for the area. This hotel does not follow the brand standards and will only disappoint you. Very poor value for money. Go elsewhere.

we had an excellent stay in this hotel, besides the staff are very attentive and welcoming, the location is also perfect. My friends had daily morning walking around the old town and places of interest mostly within walking distance and also amenties like cafeterias and supermarket.

Worst hotel ever. No refrigerator in room, so no way to cool drinks, medicine or milk for tea and coffee. No air conditioner, so have to leave window open to cool room down. Only problem with this is that it opens out to a courtyard where people meet. Floors creaking inside room and outside room. Bed has springs poking through, so it’s hard to sleep.
