If I am pregnant, I would be around 9 weeks and 3 days. Ihave taken HPT tests at 5 weeks and 7 weeks and both have been negative. However, I have been experiencing pregnancy symptoms, such as (bloating, blue vein in breasts, twinges in abdomen, slight nausea, dizziness, and increased hunger). YET, I have had what would be period-like bleeding at the expected time of my normal period (4 weeks, and 8 weeks). The period-like bleeding is very similiar to my normal period (light on day 1, heavy to medium on days 2 & 3, missing on day 4, and spotting on day 5). However, I just feel pregnant and it is hard to explain. I have been reading all these posts about women who have had period-like bleeding in early pregnancy and even throughout their pregnancy. I have even readposts on hear about women experiencing similiar situations, but they never ever come back to post their results on whether or not they were pregnant. I would like to hear from thosewomen who experienced this period-like bleeding during pregnancy and if so, whatkind ofbleeding was it (heavy, red, and when, like during your expected period ordid it just happenwhenever)? Please, I'd like tohear your stories.

Seems like you've been doing all the same analytical research as I have! It's driving me nuts too... Anyway, you shared your story, here is mine. My last period started July 18th. My cycles range from 28-33 days. I was at day 35 before realizing I hadn't had it yet. I tested, negative. I had some pressure in my lower abdominal area, mostly on my left but it kinda came in waves across as well... I don't really know how to explain these "pressure cramps" but they were not like my normal period onset cramping or any cramping I've ever had really. Kinda like an alternating pulling and pressing pressure. I've had a strong craving for juice, some minor cravings for Olives and Seaweed -weird stuff to me- and nothing I've been drinking has tasted right, it's kinda given me queazy feelings but no throwing up. I've been extremely tired as well. I kept waiting for my period to start... Kept testing. Ended up getting a Basal thermometer just in case I really wasn't pregnant so I could start tracking my stuff better. Day 38 came, nothing....still negative test. I finally got some bleeding on the 39th day (Aug 25th) and it stopped today August 29th. My periods usually last 5 days...The first 2-3 days being really heavy, (Always use super sized tampons, don't even bother with the smaller ones anymore) then the next 2-3 days are a combo of medium/light. I usually have extremely painful cramping during my period and I can literally feel the uterus lining shedding...I will sleep the first couple days as much as possible to ignore the pain. The achy feeling never goes away until the bleeding stops on the last day... Now, this whatever this bleeding is I had been having, it had no cramping other than that dull pressure off and on -very dull- nor did it have that uterus lining shedding feeling that I get every single time without fail. It was oddly...dare I say, a comfortable bleeding? Other than the fact it was completely random and strange for me. The first day was spotting, then Monday I had a medium on/off flow, the next day much lighter like the ending of a period...then the last 2 days it was incredibly light spotting brown/light pink. I used tampons on the 1st and 2nd day, stopped and switched to those thin panty liners because it was a ridiculously low amount to keep wasting tampons. (Maybe filled 2 1/2 total scattered vs a heavy normal consistent flow?) I haven't had anymore spotting since this morning. Nothing about this was normal other than "oh there's blood. lalala..." I have not had any blood tests done yet, I was advised by my birthmom -has had 9 births, several m/c- to wait and see what happens this cycle. I had a m/c in 2012, but it was so early that I don't really have much to compare these last couple weeks with or to give any additional feedback on it. Here's to hoping we both find answers to our questions and seemingly chaotic experience we are trying to understand. Keep me updated okay? Like you said, it would be nice to hear follow-ups rather than wondering. I'll keep updates as well if you'd like. :)

Almost forgot...Also have been EXTREMELY moody the last couple weeks as well...very much so more than my usual mood swings when I have them. Alright, I'm done writing for now. lol will wait for a response.

Thanks LillyAnn42012 for responding.Since writing this post, I have just been experiencing more of the same "symptoms". I keep reading posts about women that have experienced some sort of 'period-like" bleed during their pregnancy, but everything seems to be so ambiguous. I guess the only way to know for sure is to get a blood test and U/S, but I just feel silly going to the doctor when I have had such "period-like" bleeding. But maybe it is time to put the pride aside. I will keep you posted and I hope you do the same. As for you, it seems to me that your "bleeding" situation seems like it was really could be related to implantation bleeding. My bleeding actually came during my expected period times (4 weeks and 8 weeks), so it was most likely my period, but it was just not as heavy and long. But it doesn't explain the pregnancy symptoms I have been having. Just so weird, the entire situation. Good luck!

No problem. I will keep you updated. I had a friend who bled her first 3 months, then my sister in law had negative tests almost her whole 2nd pregnancy. Why do our bodies have to be so complicated? Too bad we can't press our belly buttons and have something pop out saying "you're okay, just paranoid" or "girl you got a bun in the oven!"
I've been having the same type symptoms still too. I forgot to add unexplained neck pain in my other posts, but that and some minor back pain off and on has been here too. Today I've felt a little queasy all day but not enough to gag or run to the bathroom and the mood swings are still here. My bleeding did stop completely yesterday morning, and I tested but from what I understand, if it was a late cycle and implantation, I might still get negatives for the next week or two... :/
Clear blue is coming out with a new test on Sept 1st. It's got two strips in it and the 2nd strip tells you how far along you are if you test positive on it. Maybe look for that when it comes out? I'm going to.
Debating on waiting the next couple weeks out and if I still feel funny, go in and get checked out. If not, I'm just going to see how the next "bleeding" goes. If its like this one again, I'm definitely going in. I've been recording everything I can the last two weeks just in case.

Thanks for the heads up on the Clear Blue strips. I'll look out. I did have a question and maybe you don't know, but I thought I would ask anyway. Your friend that bled the first 4 months, do you know if it was all the time, or just during what would have been her "menstrual period", if she were not pregnant? I really wish people who did experience this bleeding would go into a little more detail about what it was like. I know that sounds odd, but I'm just baffled. Thanks for communicating. Good luck.

She said it was like when she would have her menstrual period. She just thought she was getting her periods. She's a private person and didn't give me many details, so I don't know how long it was before she tested herself. Her little girl is now 11 years old I believe.
I wish they would too. I don't think it sounds odd. I think it would be amazing if people would give more detail rather than the same vague info that everyone else is posting if that makes sense. The more details that are gather-able, the better we can all help each other figure out what may or may not be normal obviously before we decide to brave the doctor's office.
I read somewhere that some people haven't gotten positives until the 11th week too. Maybe if you are, your hormone levels haven't reached the "high enough" stage for a HPT? When you were bleeding, have your normal period symptoms been there? Could you describe the twinges in your abdomen a little?

Hello Jasmine- Sorry for the delayed response, we have been traveling. The twinges I have been experiencing are not really painful, but rather like little movements, and I guess you could say achy. It is almost feels like bubbles. So it could very well be gas? It is very hard to explain, so I am sorry for being so vague on that one. I have been pregnant before so I do what it is "suppose" to feel like. We have a four year old, With my first pregnancy (four years ago), I didn't experience any of this and it was a very normal pregnancy, so this is why it is so very weird to me that if I am pregnant, how it could be so different.

Hey, its alright. I've been rather busy too. Its been a while since we last talked, have you taken any tests lately? Mine were still negative so I think last month was just strange. I am wondering about this month now though too, I've been charting on fertility friend and have to wait at least 5 more days before I can start testing again.
